2015 - Vancouver Island Regional Precision Rifle Championship

I don't understand why people are always asking this question. Does it really matter?

Either you come out and play, or you sit at home and make excuses BS'ing about your mad skills on the internet.

Like I said, I'm curious. Don't worry I'll be out there embarrassing myself regardless.

Match is currently at half capacity, 20 of 40 spots filled.
Registering online is a really good way to make sure you will have fresh targets and match cards that are not the back of a used target on the day of the match.

To me it matters. If the match wasn't anywhere near being full then I would shift things around in my life to make sure I made it, and to support it so that we don't lose another place to shoot. End of story.

Another fun event. I like all the double taps, makes it more challenging. Plus the little bit of off hand stuff adds a bit of spice in to it.

Thanks for putting this on Will, all 3 of us had a great time. See you in October.

Awesome match! Challenging and a great learning experience. Big thanks to Will and the crew.

Does the BCRA post the results/match reports for the Van Isle PR matches?? I can only find the Chilliwack PR matches on their website.

Match results will be emailed directly to competitors as it is the easiest way to get results out. I will look at getting them posted on the BCRA page.

I have also donated my last round 105mm casing to the construction of a trophy for top shot.

Is it too late to sign up? What about percision shooting noobs? Ive taken my rifle out 3 times, shot "OK" at 200 meters, quite happy at 100m with best grouping of 0.340", average 0.62" at 100m. Haven't shot past 200 meters.

Yes there are still tickets left, here is the link for the match: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/vancouve...ts-18061411167

If the forecast holds true it should be a nice day. They will pair you up with someone who has shot there before so no worries.

Just bought my ticket, now to get as much trigger time as possible before hand.. And find a hotel...

You won't regret coming, I competed in this match in August and will be making the drive from AB to shoot this one if that tells you anything. If you like I can help you with your dope at 300 and 500 yards. I would need specs of your rifle, load, and scope along with an approximate muzzle velocity(or an exact one if you have it) and you would have to wait until the day of the match because the temp/DA will effect the results. I can't guarantee bulls eye hits but it should put you on target at those ranges and you can fine tune from there, PM me if interested. That offer extends to anyone shooting this match that isn't sure of their dope, you have no excuses come and shoot!

Right on! I just checked the weather again and it should be a nice sunny day with 16 degrees (I hope it holds). See you on Sat man.

Haha it seems like I've made the right choice coming out. Everyone seems so helpful! I think j996 has a chart for me, thanks though. Where can I buy a cuff sling in lower mainland? If not available what do you guys think of the bfg Vickers sling? Would padded or non padded be prefered?

Challenging and fun are my top two priorities.

I am adding a last man standing match to wrap up the day for both the Saturday Precision Rifle and Sunday Service Rifle Matches. $5 buy in winner takes all.
