2016 BC Precision Rifle Championship June 17 to June 19 2016

Not everybody shows up on friday for site in. What happened last year was we all did the morning site in except for 2 or 3 groups that were coming into town late

Will the two different sight-in squads be announced beforehand or does everyone need to show up at 08:00?

Unless we have more than 48 shooters show up at 0800, we will just split up into two relays. One in the butts, one firing.
Ideally, you will fire and your partner will pull target for you. then we switch.
Singles will pair up, maybe a good time to find a partner if necessary.
Also it's a good idea to have a radio for comms with your partner.
Bring your own targets as well.

Seems like it's gonna be a wet one. I'm assuming I should bring some garbage bags for my gear?
Are rifle cases mandatory? Or can I just sling it up between moves?

You may want to bring something more substantial than garbage bags to carry gear. You will be dragging it around for a couple of days. Some participants prefer to treat this as real world scenario. They bring gear designed for the situation in the field, proper rain gear and gear bags.
Gun cases and drag bags are not required gear. Some shooters prefer to have all their stuff protected and easy to carry so they have some kind of case or field carry bag. Having said that, I have seen umbrellas, lawn chairs and wheeled carts for gear.
Please do not hesitate to contact the Match Director directly with your questions through the BC Precision site.

I'll second that sentiment; It was a fantastic event and I'm very grateful to the people who put in all the hard work to make it happen. I'm also really glad that I took my shooting partners advice to pack wool underclothes and rain gear;-) I'm looking forward to next year.

A big thanks to the organizers, volunteers and especially the sponsors of the match. Once again, it was a great learning experience(shooting on the rain, equipment failures, agony stage...) and a great time seeing familiar face and meeting some new ones. Congrats to Stewart on an amazing day 2 and the win. I hope to see you all there again next year.

I loved Rod's modification to the "low Prone" through the port........the 45 degree angle cut-outs were a twist...... lol

Myself and my JSA Tactical partner would like to thank all those who were using our gear, and who bought gear at the match!!!!!

We will continue to be sponsors of this match for the foreseeable future.

We appreciate it.

Cheers, SKBY.

Once again it was a great time! Always good people and LOTS of fun chatting with everyone and seeing what they are using. It was good to see a ton of new faces out there as well. Seriously if you want to cut your teeth on a match involving precision rifles that isn't super competitive but yet very challenging I would suggest this one is the one you are looking for. Everyone is helpful and willing to give up any info you might need. Come try it. You won't be disappointed!
Was also great NOT to be the only guy shooting an open rifle! There is room at this match if you have a .260, 6.5 Creedmore, 6.5x55 Swede or really anything else you might want to try. I was shooting my 6XC. It didn't help lol.

Huge THANKS to everyone who made this event happen this year. It just gets better and better. The low angle port shoot and the "get some" stages were awesome new additions. I also really liked the "team" shoots with splitting the scores (the team hostage shoot was great).

Can't say enough good things about the event. I really like how everyone is chill and helps each other out with tool/equipment to do emergency adjustments/fixes and the advice given to fellow shooters to help them shoot better.

Such a great competition.

Here's some photos I snapped on Sunday. Don't have any from Saturday, wonder why...
