2016 IPSC Canada National Ranking

Now on to something more serious...

Your section coordinators have all been asked to start asking you to let them know if you want to go to the World Shoot in France next year.
We're making a list.

When the slots drop into my hands, I'll only have a short time to pay for Canada's slots before they get sent somewhere else.
I won't have time to check with each and every person on the rank list to see if they want to go before moving on to the next person.
I'll be using the section coordinator's lists to go through the ranks and let people know how to lock their slot in.
They'll have to cough up the entry fee right away to secure their slot.

This will likely happen late next month or into December.

So if you're going to go - you need to let your S/C know.

PLEASE make every effort to only ask if you're going to commit when the time comes.

This is some background info to help in your decision:

Dates:
23-25 August: Pre-Match
26 August: IPSC General Assembly
27 August: Opening Ceremony
28 August-2 September: Main Match (shoot 5 of 6 days, according to roster)
3 September: Shoot-Off and Awards Dinner

Possible Hotels and hotel pricing:
http://www.booking.com/searchresult...re_min=0;src=city;ss_all=0;ssb=empty;sshis=0&

Car Rental will be required. No Buses to the range from match hotels.

Payment for slots MUST arrive immediately after notification of getting one.
Check, Money Order or EMT. This is non-refundable & probably around $700!!!

It will be near impossible to do this trip for under $4000 including flights, slots, food, airfare, etc. France isn't a cheap place to visit.

France will not be as popular as the USA was for Canadians (The Europeans will eat every extra slot) so we *MIGHT* have more slots
than people that want to go to France, so putting your name in even if you're not ranked or ranked low is OK, but only do it if you are actually
going to step up for the slot when the time comes.

Yes Jorg.

That would also explain why many people in the rankings the link was provided to are indicated as from provinces other than Ontario.
Also, the fact that it's on the IPSC Canada website and not IPSC Ontario's website... etc...

Isn't Canada just one of the provinces in Ontario, though?

Ah but our ranks are growing, and we is better lookin' :p

Yes you are correct, "brother". :) I was creeping up the ranks in classic but my spot for the world shoot is open for someone else as I have defected to production. The GP X-Calibur just fit me better and I fell in love. I also received a sponsorship which I am very happy about! Wasn't going to share on CGN but since I see there's a Grand Power brotherhood forming I will share my Facebook post here. Cheers!

Chris, just so you know - your performance as a classic division shooter entitles you to a slot through that division's allocation, but unless you happen to be on a supported team - you are not obligated in any way to shoot that division if you accept the slot.

IE. If we able to offer you a slot as 9th ranked Classic; you can shoot the GP in Production France if you want.

And... Congrats on the Sponsorship - Sorry to see you go - after my first year in Classic, I'm having a ball!

Thank you and this is amazing news!!

You and Jim are going to rock the classic division!

Replied to my SC last night to let them know I was very interested in attending. Now to just keep my fingers crossed that there will be at least 15 classic slots handed out... :D

You mean there are section coordinators who already contacted their members? That's wicked

Ha! You were noticbly absent this year. Classic for you again next year?

Oh yeah! I never left the Division, I just didn't have the combination of dollars and days to get out to Halifax for this year's match.
In fact, in only 2 weeks I face off against Nils and Robbie in the Western States Match, where everyone will be running a skinny gun.

... oddly enough neither of these guys seemed too concerned about me beating them... how curious!
