2016 - My Black Rifle shoots sub-MOA groups all day long challenge!

Hi all,
Jerry suggested I post this target that was shot yesterday from my Bushmaster .308 MOE FDE
Range Report: Bushmaster .308 MOE FDE

I had originally posted it in the Precision Black rifle forum since I was not sure if this one included the "big brother" of the AR15.

Nice shooting! Now we need 4 more groups on a single target as JP pointed out and I'll get your name in the books. :)

Kept my FNAR Competition and S&B 5X25 combo intact from last year SUB .75 MOA success ( did not shot my rig after the challenge), only have to roll more handloads with the exact same recipe...
Should give it a try in June somewere after being back from overseas... JP.

Ok gave it another go on a Sunny -3 windless day. The rifle is a .30 Herrett 20" Jury Custom Barrel AR consisting of an NEA billet set and CMMG mil spec FCG. It is outfitted with a 15" Diamondback rail and A2 LUTH-AR stock to hold it steady. The scope is a Nikon 4-12 P308 scope mounted by a P.E.P.R.

I was using a UTG bipod without any butt bag or sock as the rifle was just shouldered.

I will measure and repost the target.

What was disappointing to me was that after a few warm up shots I started off well with the two top groupings. I made the mistake of stopping to check on how I was performing. Well after the long walk down and back I digressed and opened up with the next two lower groupings. It took about 8 more rounds to finally relax to the point where I finished off with the centre grouping.

Not only was I shooting at a target I was checking each one on a chronograph. The 110 V-Max reloads were averaging 2620's.

Tried again but it started to rain. Identical 20" Jury barrelled 30 Herrett AR. This time a 110 Sierra Varminter pushed by 28.6 gns of I4198 in Hornady brass and CCI primers. Average MOA was .672 at 100 yards with a bipod and no butt support.

I need to match the rifles capability.
