Thanks to the ORA CQB for putting on the clinic.
Thank you to RSO Tim for his time and effort put into the clinic and Tony and Steve the ARO's, lots of knowledge shared.

It was a pretty intense day for me.
Registration at 7:30AM then Intro at 8am and about 2 hours in the classroom. Discussion on equipment and dry stoppage drills.

Rest of the day was out on the range.
Zeroing rifles and pistols
Snap Drills
Rapid Drills
Modified prone
Advance and fire drills
Double taps
Firing on the move
All with mag changes

Range cleaned up and finished around 4:30

Great group of people to share the range with.

Add 2 hours on the road each way and I'm pretty knackered.

Super day! Couldn't have asked for better weather. Almost 200 rounds sent down range and a great way to get the season started. Lots of new CQB participants this year and everyone worked hard to keep it moving and moving safely. Tim, as usual, did a great job at walking us through the skills and drills we needed to absorb. Thanks to Tony and Steve for helping out and Tim's assistants on the firing line. Looking forward to the first match.

Great day! Special thanks to Tim with big assists from Steve and Tony. And don't forget the coffee and donuts! The perfect weather was a real bonus. Learned a lot and looking forward to the CQB season. Good bunch of guys. Provides an incentive for an 'ole geezer like me to stay in some kind of decent shape. Thanks again to all involved.

Big shout out to RSO Tim, and AROs Tony and Steve. They arranged perfect weather, much better than last year!

Really enthusiastic group of shooters and we went through 200+ rifle rounds and a bunch of pistol rounds. Tim was in fine form and we had a great time; professional instruction with the emphasis on safety with good marksmanship training, even while the laughs were coming as fast as the shots! Really good group of guys.

Of course, the coffee and donuts were outstanding. Maybe it's because Tim and Timmies share the same name, but never is a donut so tasty than when it is at the range at an ORA event.

Thanks again to Tim, Tony, and Steve. Thanks to Andrew and the rest of the ORA crew!

CQB is now my favourite shooting event, the people and the action make you want to keep coming back. The clinics are a great way to introduce new shooters and tune up the experienced ones. CQB shooters are always happy to help out, lend equipment, lend ammo and give great advice. Tim runs a super clinic, safe, on schedule and never a dull moment.

It's a learning environment for everyone who attends, in my case I learned how not to sound stupid on an open radio channel.
