Thats a nice looking rig. Polar opposite of what I just bought. 26 Nosler. I think those 44 bolt guns are great.

Smoked a huge doe with a chest on shot at about 70yds with the exact same rifle. Dropped on the spot. Used 265gr Hornady XTP reloads. What I didn't like was the jacket separated from the core. Found the jacket but not the core.

I hear you about the irons.
I like them but my eyes unfortunately don't so if I need to use glass as well.

Very nice rifle, I almost bought one when they were much cheaper, should have. I like the all weather aspect and being nice and light a pleasure to carry all day I bet.

I had one is 357 and loved it. Weak moment and sold it to a friend. They are a joy to carry all day and point and handle great.
I used mine for spring bear, sitting in a tree stand over a bait, I can't think of a better rifle to use.

Very nice! Love the Ruger 77. You could match it with a 77/22 and long action 77 and have all you need!

I would try and lower that scope as much as possible for a better cheek weld. Escpecially with heavy loads. Those rings look extra high, low would probably be ideal.

I'm no pro but I think you chose the perfect scope for that sweet rifle but I would switch the rings to a set of low #3 Ruger rings as it will lower the scope so it will be easier to shoot comfortably
