2019 NB PRS style shoot schedule

Just a quick update, match is coming up fast.

I plan to open the range gate around 8am Saturday. We’ll setup Saturday morning and shoot in the afternoon. If you’d like to shoot Saturday, you should try to be there by noon at the latest, I plan to start shooting earlier this time. The range gate needs to be locked before we go live and I won’t be able to unlock it to let anyone in after we go live. Range will open around the same time Sunday, but I’ll lock the gate around 930 and we’ll kick the match off around 10am.

I won’t be finalizing the cof until Saturday, but it will be similar to the last match. 6-8 stages with ranges from 350m to 1000m. Round count will be approximately 80 for Sunday and whatever you’d like to shoot on Saturday.

Match fees are $10 for Saturday and $20 for Sunday.

Any questions let me know.

I have a friend interested in coming with me, but he only owns an F-Class rifle (single shot). Would anyone coming happen to have an extra rifle and be interested in renting out a more suitable rifle / optic combo for the day?

Planning to be there, hoping to talk a few friends into coming for Saturday at least. Should be fun, hopefully we have some better weather than last time eh? Looking forward to it!

Just a heads up to anyone on the fence, this will likely be our last match of the year on this range. I don’t think we’ll have access to it this fall due to military training.

Ladies/gents,
Hampton Rifle and Pistol Club will be hosting a two gun shoot which in my mind is a hybrid PRS/IPSC shoot! Details below!

Situation – Hampton Rifle and Pistol Club (HRPC) will be hosting Chris’ 2 Gun Competition on 28th Sept, 2019 to support the Wounded Warriors Canada.

There will be a total of 6 stages for Black Badges and 5 stages are open to any shooters.

This is not a typical 2 Gun shoot and is designed for maximum participation because this is for Charity.

Two guns are required but can be any type but one must be able to engage steel at 10m which means Pistol, Rimfire or PCC. The other can be any rifle able to engage up too 185m. The IPSC people will likely run pistol and AR, but could be shot with a rimfire rifle and SKS, or two rimfire rifles one capable of long range shooting. Two guns are required!

This is not an IPSC event however it will follow all safety rules. The Black Badge course is not required however anyone wishing to attend will be following all IPSC rules and can be provided with a copy of the rule book upon request. Any unsafe handling will result in a DQ! Only Black Badge ROs will be used.

Only Stage #6 requires movement and will only be for Black Badge holders only.

Start position for non Black Badge holders will be from the low ready.

Scoring will be COMSTOCK (unlimited time and rounds) your time stops when you fire your last round.

Round Count – Pistol 53 (Minimum) Rifle 119 (Minimum)

The overall winner will have the donation made in his/her name with all tax credit.

Cost is 30$

Please register at HRPC.SNB250@gmail.com

Stages may change!

Limited to 50 Shooters

It’s not ideal, but they can shoot it with an f class rifle. It’s not an easy thing to do, but Others have done it. And it’ll likely still be fun. Plus, it’s an easy out if things don’t go well.

We’re got one more match scheduled for this season. It’s Sunday sept 22 at the Enniskillen Range. The details aren’t finalized, but it will follow the same format as the others, setup and practice on Saturday and we’ll shoot a match on Sunday.

We’re going to try and use practiscore for this match, here’s the link to register. https://practiscore.com/nbpr-fall-finale/register

It’s my first time creating a match in practiscore, so if you run into any issues please let me know.
