2019 Stag 10 BCG

Good day CGN, I have disassembled my new Stag 10 for cleaning and noticed something rather entertaining the firing pin retaining pin is a $.50 "cotter pin" and nothing like the machine rolled pin in the Stag 10 BCG kit, Is this "CP" set up secure for use?.

Some of the early BCL's came out with the same cotter pin in their BCG's...I don't think it caused any problems.....

Yep, normal. Same in AR 15 BCG’s, cotter pins

FWIW I prefer the cotter pin. I find the solid pin a pain to remove!

It's worth a lot, Ty, as a new rifle owner I was kind of shocked too see it, but understand it's only holding the firing pin. Thank you all for your 411 and experience.
