I recognize that SX3Hunted AB side this morning with my girlfriend for ducks. I sat back and let her have the birds to herself until she said laughingly "are you not shooting? I'd appreciate a little back up". LOL
Another beautiful day on the lake. Lots of birds moving at first light but the heavy fog made it near impossible to see where the hell they were coming from. Managed to get a teal and a few mallards, it required quite the effort. Marksmanship was a bit off today and had a few mallards and a group of geese get by me. Thats how is goes sometimes. Northern birds have started to make an appearance as there were small groups of bufflehead and some goldeneyes flying around. It will be madness in the next few weeks!
Just two of us yesturday ended with 6 birds. Two guys slept in and I left without them. I find the field, get permission, own all the decoys and invite two people and they dont even bother showing....man I need new hunting buds.
Got this nice pic of the young lad shooting.

Do you also get into mud lake from St john. I hear all sort of stories about it. Is it any good or as nasty to get into as they say?Lake St John
Been there myself with the sleepers. Made for some bad times. Good on you for leaving them behind. No one should have time or tolerance for that crap. Moving on from those hunting buddies was the best thing I ever did
If you want new hunting partners that are committed and responsible, send me a PM. Always great to meet likeminded people

My girlfriend joined me in the blind this morning. Sadly she didn't want to buy a SK license this late in the season so it was basically a solo hunt with company. However she shot alot of pictures and video today and that was really cool to watch on the smart tv tonight and relive this morning's hunt.
Opening morning Saturday. Was covered up in teal and they’re my favourite duck to shoot and eat. Makes for a good thanksgiving dinner with the teal in a pot recipe we learnt down in Arkansas
