2020 Antelope back from the Taxidermist

Beautiful Speed Goat! Certainly from the pictures you have shown you can't see any issues with the cape job, a tip of the hat to the taxidermist. Perhaps a plug for him or her?

Thanks for sharing.

Sugar Creek out of Red Deer. He did a superb job. Fixed my mistake and saved the cape, and the small details are absolutely perfect.

No stink, I had no clue about scent glands in the cheek. He definitely does a lot of Antelope. There were several othere 2020 Antelope ready to be picked up when I was in there.

Nice! Still waiting to get drawn but I'll definitely be getting a shoulder mount done whenever that happens.

I started putting in for this one when I was 19. By the time I'm drawn again I will be pushing 50, maybe over 50 if the wait times go up significantly. Crazy how long of a wait it is.

Nice buck and mount! I shot my antelope this past autumn (2021), and it will be a two year wait before the taxidermist is complete the mount. What cartridge did you use and location where you killed your buck?

Congrats! I'm sure the wait will be worth it!

7mm08 out of my sheep rifle. Just a few miles from the US border.

Shot mine with the custom 240 Weatherby Mag., 90 gr. Accubonds, DRT. Location was 3 miles west of the Saskatchewan border.

A beaut!

Never got to hunt them. But saw a lot around Moose Jaw, before a bad winter chased them off to other parts. Basically, we were told, they moved to Montana.

Best memory. Saw a single speedgoat standing in a field. Stopped, walked out, and it didn't run. Found a brand new baby antelope, about half the size of my cat, curled up on the ground. Awesome sight!
Backed off, watched mom come in and watch the little bug wobble off behind her. Wish I'd had a camera!
