2021 IPSC Canadian Nationals

Presently it is listed as a go on IPSC Canada's website. However who knows what will happen with Covid. Right now i think the Atlantic provinces have some very restrictive travel policies. Get your crystal ball out.

there is absolutely no way we can predict at this point if it happens. I expect that decisions on it won't be made for quite awhile yet.

To keep you all in the loop....As of now the 2021 IPSC Canadian National Championship is still on. In order to avoid the 2020 National debacle (ie; refunds, airfare etc.) the NEC has decided that registration will NOT open until May 1, 2021. This date coincides with the "drop dead date" the NEC has decided upon. If there is not unrestricted interprovincial travel by May 1, 2021, then the 2021 IPSC Canadian Nationals WILL be cancelled. If you were selected to be a Match Official for the 2020 Nationals you will have first preference for the 2021 Nationals.

The above is what we heard in Alberta today.

The N.B. border with Quebec is currently locked down , and probably won't be reopened until late fall , or maybe winter , depending on the vaccine roll out . Even the N.B. Cruise Ship season has been cancelled for a second year in a row . The Atlantic bubble may reopen in the Spring with open travel between N.B. , N.S. , PEI , and NFLD ; but probably not much beyond that .

Oh sure, put the nail in the coffin already.
