double trigger needs some work muscle memory and shooting times or the stecher may surprise you and of course the moose ...
 
For my local hunting around home in whitetail firearms season I will be carrying a CVA Accura MR muzzle loader, topped with a Vortex Razor LH 1.5-8, got a beautiful 10 point with it last year so I will stick with it this year, my WMU is shotgun or ML only for deer but we can carry centrefire rifle for bear, go figure? If I head up north into a different WMU I will take my Marlin 1895G 45-70, has an identical Razor 1.5-8 on it-I really like the continuity there. Hopefully I head west next year, to Alberta for mule deer and WT, I will carry a 280Ackley, built on a Defiance AnTi, Benchmark barrel and AG stock, also with a Razor on top, this one a 4.5-22.

Also looks like I will be heading to Quebec for moose in late September, this will be an archery hunt so I will take my Prime Nexus 2, this hunt is a dream hunt for me so I will be training and practicing a lot over the next several weeks for this hunt, my host is a very avid moose hunter and hunts hard and demands the same of his guests, so I have to up my game substantially to keep up with him, and hopefully garner a repeat invitation in the future!

I'm assuming that you've had several 700s over the years with most being problematic. That being the case, I wouldn't blame you for switching. OTOH ..... I've not had back luck with any in about 35yrs of using them.

I'm sure that a stainless M70 complete with CRF and custom McMillan would make a great truck gun.

Just a dozen or so. But you Remington guys need to relax a bit. :) Have you seen the new 700? Kinda like a clone of the clones clones clone.

Weatherby Vanguard 416 Ruger and a Win 70 338 for elk and moose, a few different choices for deer, I am going to try to leave my Husky 270 at home and try a few different rifles depending on the weather and anticipated terrain, Husky 1900 6.5x55, Ruger chassis 7-08, Vanguard 6.5x300 might squeeze a 9.3x62 into both hunts.

Sako 85 SS in 270Win for my Pronghorn hunt. I finished a Rem700 35Whelen last year but recently dropped a Swarovski 3-10 BRH and now have it dialled in and calibrated out to a bit past 600 metres. Excited to use the 35 on a hunt but I doubt any of my shots would be beyond 300 metres.
