2023 SHOT Show: Savage Arms New 2023

Not blow up literally, but the recoil piston spring cracks. Dozen singular. I stand corrected… cheap part to fix. I spend 90 days a year hunting birds across North America a season. The stoegers are common so it’s really not that big of a feat.

I have 2 Turquas in 243 and 6.5 Creedmoor. They are light years better than any other budget rifle. After a full hunting season and 30-50 rounds though them zeroing and learning their characteristics I wouldn't hesitate buying another one. 60 degree bolt, integral recoil lug, single row magazine, excellent smooth bolt. These rifles are slightly heavy around 7,5lbs but that is ok as it eases recoil. Not that there is much in my calibers. They basically come loaded for the price of a crap plastic Axis XP or Mossberg.
I've told my buddies to buy them if they find them. I have the walnut ones. Really great looking rifles. They also have iron sights. Yeah those!!
Most importantly both are now sub-moa after breakin. They were roughly 1.25 in 5 shot groups in the beginning are tightening up great.
They are a steal imho.
Manufacturing costs have exploded in North America and they need to find cheaper areas to draw inventory from. Just like CZ and Interarms Mark X way back the brands are hunting for cheaper higher quality rifles in low cost areas. We all know how good CZ is. This Turkish outfit is producing excellent firearms. Put your egos away. Put bucks in your pocket. You won't be disappointed. I'm not at all. When I look at the North American junk at the bottom end of the spectrum I just laugh at what I got for less than them. I mean a alot less.
Think about that time 25 years ago when you laughed at Interarms, BRNO, and CZ. Yeah that time. You regret it I know.
I bought those rifles back then and still have them. My kids use them now. They are worth 30 times form what I paid for them back then and everyone wants them now.
