While we're waiting for turkey pics.. We had a white turkey running with the wild turkey. Escaped or hatched from an escape domestic. Question would that turkey count towards the limit? Curious

Good question....my thoughts...

If you shoot it thinking maybe it's "albino" or whatever, you would need to tag it.

If you believe it is a "domestic" or escapee, are you legally allowed to shoot someones farm turkey, even if it's escaped???

There are lots of wild white turkeys... one area I hunt has had several that I have seen occasionally for the past six or seven years... the first white one I saw was a hen, but last year I saw a white adult tom strutting on a ridge with three other toms. If you are turkey hunting with a tag in your pocket and shoot a white turkey, you had better cut the tag, I don't think the decision will go your way if you don't.

Cool that you can hear that strutting Tom spitting so clearly. Those last two Toms definitely saw something that they didn’t like. Those alarm putts often mean its game over.

Very true! I’ve dropped more than my fair share of Toms the moment I hear a putt. Its usually a hen that busts me and starts putting. Either way, if a shot can be had, best take it while you can!

Second last day of the season I got this little guy. Got out way later than I hoped and had written it all off until I heard a gobble and him and his pal walked infront of me! Not much of a trophy but this is my first time turkey hunting so I'm just happy I got something.

Yep, 15 yards at most I would guess. 2 3/4", 1oz of #6 out of full choke. This gun patterns real well for being old as dirt.
