I see Ted Gaillard is making 204" barrels....does anyone have one of his 20 cal tubes?...I see he makes 8", 10" and 12" twist............

the factorys are using 12"...any reason to go to 10" or 8"?....would 40 gr bullets need a 10 or an 8 over the factory 12"..?

how many guys here have 204 Rugers?....I'm thinking I might "need":D one someday.

12 is fine for 40's.

Berger makes 50's too, and that's where the need for faster twists comes from

And yes. You definitely do need one :D

Hornady just came out with a 45 gr. soft point for 204

Im sure its short enough to use in factory twists, or else they wouldnt of come out with factory ammo for it :D (3625 fps/ 45 gr.)

I have a 204 Ruger, I have not shot anything heavier than a 39grn BK it it thought, and it groups awsome, and it has a 1-12 twist, I have heard that some rifles are picky with the 40grn V-MAX.

50 Berger uses a 1-9 twist......

35 and 40 are very popular

I have a .204 in Remington Heavy Barrel and I think it is great I retired a shot out swift and I like it better for coyotes than the swift.

I think if you go for the ten, you should be covered for all bullet's...........if you push them fast.

UM

No one would do that would they......... :)

Hey Calvin....we've got lots and lots of .20 cal in stock. They have been performing second go none! No worries there at all. Not one complaint on their performance and many satisfied repeat customers...!;)

Hard to keep them in stock...much like the Lapua brass we have...

I think people are recognizing the value in quality brass!
