Finally got to try the crony out, was a little disappointed, factory Hornady 40gr. 3702, 3651, 3708. factory Win. 34gr. 3834, 3805 3789,3824,3823,3831. reloads 32gr. Sierra, 27gr. H322- 3775,3748,3781. rifle Tikka t3 light. Not sure what others have seen, i was happy with my reloads in the 243, 100 gr. Hornady, 45 gr. H4831- 2994,3020,3003,3017,3023. I`m looking forward to checking out some other rifles and loads when the wind drops off, don`t usually shoot to much factory ammo just wanted to compare my Tikka with factory ammo it didn`t work good in a Rem sps i had.

22" barrel will set you back up to 50 fps. Have seen a lot of cases of 'slow' barrels in the past too. Not sure of the exact cause of this phenomenon but it happens. What does your manual suggest for velocity with your 32gr Sierra handload?

Try some moly coated barnes bullets. You might be surprised.
Take note: moly can be a bitc* to clean out of the bore if you don't use the right cleaning practice.

Quote:
"Maintenance once the bore is moly-coated changes, however. Do not scrub the bore with a bristle brush because it will erode, then remove, the coating. Nor should you use solvents intended to remove copper since they, too, will remove the moly coat. Instead, just swab the bore repeatedly with patches, using only solvents designed to remove powder fouling, until the patches come out clean. Then, lightly oil the bore to prevent rusting."

those are pretty typical of the velocities I get with my XR-100 (26") with 39 grain bullets: about 3800fps. I use Varget, and I do moly coat my bullets

Just checked hodgon data and 27.5 H322 is at 4030fps, with a 24" barrel. Tikka uses a 22.43" barrel. I guess my load being about 230 fps low isn`t to bad, i`ll have to check my son`s Rem sps with the same load and compare results. Now that i`ve tried the crony i`m quite interested to check some other loads and see if they are close to published figures.
