Your right about the bullet selection... I like the 32gr bullets for groundhogs.
Wind is a huge factor with the light bullets as well. The V-Max even in the 40gr option are too frangible for big dogs.
I am working on some 40gr Ballistic Tip loads and I expect them to kill coyotes out to 400+ yards.
The .204 is awesome in that I can see my bullet strikes in the scope... instantly! With no recoil, minimal cost to load and very little noise... whats not to like.
