Here in my neck of the woods we run coyotes with dogs. Rarely are shots under 100 yards and 90% of the time there on the run. There are only 2 main calibers in our group of about 15 hunters.. 22-250 and .204... I have seen just as many coyotes killed beyond 300 yards with light 32gr bullets as the 22-250 with 40 to 55 gr bullets.. I definitely vouch for the heavier 39 or 40 gr bullets with the 204 but would not hesitate is all i had was 32gr pills.
