204 Ruger expander ball problem

My rcbs resizing die is expanding my cases too much that the bullet falls in. If someone could take the measurement of their expander ball and pass it along that would be great! I would order another assembly but no one has any in stock so I need to file mine down to the right size. Thanks

What measurement did you get on your expander? The expander on my Hornady die set is 0.2025".

Chuck it in a cordless drill, use some 600 / 800 emery cloth and run it down to .202"

It sounds like it had the wrong expander ball installed from the factory. I would call RCBS direct and see if they'll send you a replacement.

Or just call/email RCBS and they’ll send the proper one. Same situation, different cartridge, no charge to my door.
