Hey all..
I'm in need of some help. I picked up a Savage 12fv in .204 and neither Cabela's or Wholesale Sports has any neck sizing dies.
I can get my hands on the regular set that you have to use lube with. I neck size for my .270 so I thought it would be nice to do
the same with the .204

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

I found the regular ones. I was hoping for the carbide set (deluxe?) that you don't need to use lube with for neck sizing. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think you have the regular ones that require lube and full sizing?

I was hoping to get a carbide one so I didn't have to lube whenever I neck size. The Reddings and RCBS both require lube in the necks I think!?

Redding makes bushing neck sizing dies and you can get Titanium Carbide or normal steel inserts, all you do is measure a loaded round and go with a size .001" or .002" less then the loaded round. if using the bushing neck sizer it is pointless to use a expander button as it will just screw up the neck tension you just created using the inserts. for my .308win I use .001" neck tension but also have extra inserts to go with .002" or .003" of neck tension. Titanium carbide inserts are approximately $35 each.

I know the difference, but the prior posts aren't very descriptive, so I was looking for clarification as Redding makes whatever they need.

I have a 204 Savage Mod12 BTCSS and I found the collet die set from lee. It works great. Higginsonpowders.com is where I got mine. You don't need lube. PN is 90734

You get the seater and neck sizer in that pack.
