204 Ruger

Does anyone have a favourite powder for the .204 Ruger?
Just starting to load for my M700 VSSF II and looking for some suggestions.

I use 28.5g of BL-c2 with 40 grain V-max

Varget been working for me, for example a 26gr BVG at 4150fps shooting under 0.5moa. Havent found a bullet that rifle doesn't like. Heres mine

The goto powder seems to be H4895 and that is what I use. But I have also used with success Reloader 10X, Varget and BL-C2. Tried Reloader 15 be not to good for my 204.

H4895 with 39 Sierra BK and BLC2 with 35 Bergers in my 700 VLS. Very accurate.

Benchmark and 32 grain Bergers in mine. It will hold 1/2 MOA out to 500.

H4895 is my 'go to' powder for .204, though I have also used RL10X with success.

just did some 250-275 yard shooting with a new load tonight great load in my 700 sps 28.2 win 748 and a 40gr nosler cci benchrest primers i was using 27.4 gr of varget... but this new load seems to be a lot more accurate

IMR 8208 XBR looks very promising. Anyone seen or used this powder?

.204 Powders

H-322 is the most accurate in my Remington 700. Followed by H-4895, and Benchmark, using 32 gr. Sierra BK's .

Previous load was H322 pushing a 32 grain V-Max

May have to try Ramshot TAC powder, as I have run out of H4895 and the 700 rounds I have loaded up may be gone in as little as two good weekends

Fellas on the 204 Ruger forum seem to have good results with Reloader-10 but I have never tried it (not found locally)

My 2 best loads, Vihta Vuori n133 - 28 grs. - 30 gr. Bergers & CCI BR primers
H4895 - 27.9 grs. - 32 gr. v-max & Fed 205m primers

W748 with a WSRP and a 40grn berger HPBT Match bullet. Its about 3800 FPS and its a good load in my old savage modle 25. My 700 vls likes varget and benchmark with 32 grn bullets. I dont remeber the load right now.

32 gr Vmax 27.6 gr benchmark, rem brass, fed match primer,rem 700 varmint. Under .75 moa all day long.
