Ken I have had good success with H4895 in my Kimber and my Browning X bolt. BLC2 and IMR 8208 have also worked well in the Kimber. H 4895 also worked well in my Remington 700 VLS which I no longer have.
I use H322, tried 8208 and another that I can't remember now and results were very close. I happen to have an 8lb jug of H322 so I use it a lot if the groups are good.
Rem 6 1/2 primers have a very thing cup and are ment for low presure rounds like 22 hornet and the like and not for higher preasure rounds like 204 ruger. I personally wouldn't use them for risk of damaging the bolt face.
Gonna do up some loads this eve for an upcoming range trip and subsequently, some coyote hunting. I have Cci 400's and rem 7 1/2's. 39 sbk's and 39 tnt's. I'll do up some with varget. Some with h4895 and some with benchmark. Anyone else using the 39's with these powders? I've done some preliminary testing with H4895 and I'm liking the results. I think I just have to find the sweet spot off the lands.
