Hey all. So im experimenting some new powders for the 204.... mainly becase im not getting close to velocities i would like.. 32gr Sierra @ 3800 and a 40grVmax @ 3700. The powder in the 32gr load is H322(forget the charge) and for the 40grVmax is 27.5(maybe) of Varget... Accuracy is decent enough for coyotes @ 3/4" for 3 shots at 100yards. I would love to bring that in to 1/2 or better and gain velocity.. I do understand that may not be possible but i figure its worth a try..

My test loads now are H4198 working up from listed min to .4gr over max going up in .2gr incroments.. All brass is Hornady and Primers are CCIBR4 and 40gr projectiles

Im sitting on 5 pounds of RL7 and have read some decent things but cannot find enough data on it to say for sure if its worth a try... Mainly everything i read is it give excellent groups and velocity with 32gr pills but might be a bit on the fast burning side for 40gr pills.???

Other powders i Have in stash are 1 pound of RL10x, 2 pounds benchmark(all though tried and groups were not the greatest), 1 pound IMR 4320, 1 H322,1 H4198 and there might be a couple more in there some where im not remembering..

Is it a possibility that i should try CCI 400 mag primers??? would that make much of a differnece in the 204 for accuracy?

Anyways... thanks all for your input... Ohh and my rifle is a CZ527 Varmint.(LOVE THIS RIFLE)
