Hey guys~I'm toying with the idea of adding a mag extension to my 21" barrel, 870 youth. Not for "tactical" or "defensive" purposes...mostly for fun, and aesthetics. :) Anyhow, the gun has a 21" barrel, so to be flush..the length of the mag extension (from the forward-facing edge of the barrel guide ring to the muzzle) is a hair over 9-1/4". I'm only aware of Nordic selling 20ga, 870 mag extension/springs but even the shortest would put the mag extension past the barrel by an inch or more.

Do any of you know of a custom-option, or, of any other suppliers selling mag extensions? The ideal would be flush, but a +2 (for example) might be an OK compromise.

The Chaote one I've got would be flush for a 20" barrel and is +3. Not to sure if they do a +4 but that'd end up longer than your 21" barrel.
 
I’d contact S&J, they recently did a 12g and 20g his and hers for a customer and wife and the wife’s 20g has a mag tube extension on it that looks like its factory Rem. Granted it likely is paired with an 18.5 or 20” barrel as its flush to the muzzle.

Have any of you seen the Choate 20g extension for the 870 in stock? Would like a 2 or 3 shot version.
