Curiosity has gotten the better of me....

I snagged a 20mm dummy off the EE (thanks teckrat) and like most avid reloaders would i did some quick google'fu to find load data... Hmmm not so much.

I know CH4D makes a press ($1500) and dies ($500) to get a guy rolling and there is talk about bushing the primer pocket for .50 BMG primers but someone must have a recipe for what goes into the case?

Just curious as to how much powder and type is all really...

Not that I would ever build a Vulcan...

Like wow talk about impractical non restricted gopher puncher eh?

....honest.

Seriously.

easy enough to make up 20mm solid bullets. Powder is slowest 50bmg powders. Reloading setup, plus a single shot rifle should be on the order of $12k

If I could get a reasonabe amount of brass, it would be interesting.

BTW, muzzle energy of a 50bmg is 13,000 ft-lb the 20mm clocks in at 40,000  :dancingbanana:

Can't believe I am actually considering it........

So what yer tellin me here is instead of shooting 5gal buckets of water at a kilometer I should be looking for a cheap source of 45gal plastic barrels...

Noted.
