Anyone have any info on this? I like Glocks, I like shooting .45. I don't have gigantic hands. I only included the 17 because I have one of those (Gen 3) and I shoot it decently so I have a concept of the size of the 17. I'm curious if anyone here can tell me how the 21 and 21SF stack up against each other and conversely against the 17. Thanks for any help.

Was looking at one today at the local shop. It feels similar to the 17, but not identical. It is still wider than the 17.

Here is a pretty good description:

I shot both side by side last summer and didnt notice much difference in my hands.

The 21SF is on my "to buy one day" list

I love Glocks but the 21 sucks, lol. The Gen3 (non SF) is MASSIVE!

This guy has a pretty good writeup:

Similarly anyone ever compare any of the guns to a Gen 4 21? or a 41? As you can probably imagine Glock's in .45 tend to be a bit of a rarity around these parts.

p.s. Thanks for the help thus far.

I had the 21 and sold it. Grips weren't just mine, especially after shooting M&P45 for over a year. Got a gen 3 21SF and kept it, grip size equals my Gen4 41 and Gen4 21 without added grip panels. And they are not that rare...21 come up regularly on the EE, and half of the site sponsors have Gen4 21 and 41 in stock.

I have smaller hands and could not even hold the old Gen 3 Model 21 properly. The 21 SF is an improvement but i still find the grip too wide at the bottom. The 21 Gen 4 with no backstrap works for me best. If I was to buy a 21, it would be the Gen 4.

Interesting, maybe I'll try to get hands on one.

This to going to sound strange, but I'm currently between getting a 19, 34, or 21.

I would go with a 9mm version for cost alone unless you have a specific use for the .45 or lots of .45 brass, bullets and large pistol primers!

I've basically decided that I'm going to stick with 9mm and .45ACP (I actually just sold my Glock 22 yesterday) I'm planning to start reloading for .45 some time this year. I've already got a Colt 1911, and I save the brass from it. What can I say? I like shooting .45 and not having to walk down the range to check for holes in your targets is a real time saver!
