The main reason for the GSG-16 9" barrel mod is to make it a MP-5 look alike. Fixed buttstock, the GSG-522 conversion kit, a handguard and a rail delete 3D printed part will have you channeling your inner Bruce 'Die Hard' Willis at the range. Yippee ka-yee.

Good to know that the innards of the GSG15 are quite similar.

do you have a way to pin the mk22 stock without it showing? the disassembly is inside the stock.

The extension can be done from inside the stock with a screw as the buttpad comes off and you can fix the extension mechanism in place.

The folding part most likely will require the button latch to be replaced with a visible screw. I'll need to play around with different things to see what's best but open to suggestions!

you dont need to worry about the length/extension, i think when retracted its gonna be more than 26". its the folding part thats of concern and like the gsg16, i dont want the screw to be exposed so im think of drilling a tiny hole at the bottom of the stock, drill it at a 45 degree angle towards the locking devise and screwing a set screw to the lock.

The mk22 is less than 26" with the stock fixed and collapsed. The extension part has to be extended to position 2 or 3 to be long enough.

collapsed is 24.5" to the front of the receiver, im guessin your barrel will stick out more than 1.5".

Looking good. Regarding bolt cycling (blowback action) shorter barrels reduce it as the pressure is released earlier than in the longer barrelled version of the same gun.

Sooo, pretty sure I am going to do this barrel.
What all is involved, do you need to cut groove for extractor?
Is this Dremel work or need machining tools/gunsmith? Do you think taking back the barrel shoulder some would allow it to clock in proper for feed ramp and extractor? Or, take some off the breach block on shoulder (front) side.
Also I read somewhere the barrel threads a left handed (reverse), is this correct?

Sounds easy enough.
Only other hiccup (maybe) is I have the GSG-15 Special Ed, with the mock suppressor. It threads into the receiver so I am hoping it doesn't have too large a hole to support the Dlask barrel/thread adapter. I don't think this receiver is designed with a free floated barrel in mind.

Any chance you could get me a measure of diameter of barrel/adapter where it exits the end plate on the receiver?

Edit:
Alright, I am all sorted.
Order is in. Hope to have it next week and will post results when it's al together.
