218 Bee suggestions

I'd like to get a 218 Bee, anyone know where I could find one, I've been looking for a ruger#3 22hornet to have rechambered but no luck, any suggestions, I'd really like a single shot

Unless you can find a used ruger on the ee or you could use a ruger donor rifle and rebarrel. Or there's always the TC contender or encore and custom barrel.

I had a No.1 in .218 Bee... it was an "S" with 26" barrel.... it was insanely accurate... but I traded it away in a three rifle deal... in retrospect, I drew the short straw on that deal.

I have a browning model 65, they are hard to come by but there out there

Find an old BSA 310 Cadet and rebarrel... they make great platforms for 218 Bee.

Buy a single shot. I have a Model 65 and you pretty much limited to flat nose bullets. With a single you can load th Bee up with very nice spire points and gain some velocity. I do love the cartridge.

Insert based or stub based?

I have done a few of each on H&R SB2 frames.

Stub based. Savage 22 Hornet barrel turned to fit the stub.
