So looking at getting a 22250 rechambered to 22-243 wondering what i should know about it.

played with one briefly a few years ago, slow powders and long barrels are best. If your 22-250 shoots well so will the 22-243 likely. Don't bother if your 22-250 is less than 26". I went to a 28" 22-284 with a 1-8" twist, still playing but looks like a super velocity tack driver with 80-90 gn match bullets. Probably burn the throat out before I decide on a load, welcome to wildcatting !!

I shoot one. Sparingly. But it's a good cartridge for what it is; a very fast 22 centerfire. - dan
Have one on a 760 pump , great coyote rig. It's one in 8 twist stainless mclelland barrel 24" semi heavy fluted. 80 gr. Bergers , 45.5 of IMR 7828. It's only downside is the noise. My ears are torched . Has had approximately 800 down the tube and still shooting fine . Put my 22-250 and 220 swift away.
