I am shooting a New Tikka T3 lite Stainless in 22-250.
I have tried Winchester 55 Gr Soft point, Winchester Supreme 40 gr Ballistic Silvertip and El Cheapo Winchester USA brand (whitebox) 45gr JHP

So far I am getting a 1" group at 150 yds with the cheap stuff.
A similar result withe the 55 gr but POI is about 2.5" to the right (when sighted in with 45gr JHP)
And the 40 gr stuff at $35 per box gives me about a 3" group at 100yds  and also hits about 3" right of the 45gr.

So far I am leaning to the white box but I am wondering if y'all have any suggestions of something better?

The Tikka T3 should shoot sub MOA out of the box.

1 inch groups at 150 yards is better then 1 MOA. POI will change with different loads, bullet weigh, velocity and the amount of bullet jump (into the land) has a lot to do with barrel harmonics, and will shift your POI.
Get a loading press and find a load that works well. At $35 a box, it will only take the cost of about 10 boxes to to set yourself up reloading.

WOW 35 bucks a box:eek:   .......I am getting 55grn hornady V-max for around 25 a box and you can get 45grn winchester at wallyworld for about the same money in a 40 round box......all that said my reloads are a bit more accurate in my model 70.I can get cloverleaf groups at 100 yrds(on a good day)but in actual fact the gun shoots far better than I can:redface:

I think my scope is part of the problem as well, it is a firefly reticle but at 100 yds the crosshairs are about 3/4" wide. For now I will switch back to The Whitebox (which is dirt cheap) My father does have a press and 22-250 dies. I should start learning the basics of rifle ammo loading.
Sow when I do start reloading and playing with different loads, would I load like 5 or so of various recipes and see how they group? I guess I will will have to get a chrony as well.

Forget the chrony at the start, velocity does not = accuracy.
Your money will be better spent on reloading manuals.
Choose the bullets and powder you want to start with. Load up 5 rounds of each load and test them. Go up in .2 grain increments. Watch for pressure signs, sticky bolt, hard extraction, flattened primers.
You will find a load the groups just a bit better then the others.
Try this again a few days later to make sure it does in fact group better and it wasn't just luck.
Now start all over with different bullets. You may find something that will shoot one hole groups.
