22-250, bullets, powder, etc, your input requested

I've been wondering the same thing... I'll be using Varget almost exclusively as my rifle powder (seeing as .22-250 is all I load for right now) and with the 1:14 twist rate on my XR100, I was wondering how heavy I could go too.

I have'nt loaded for the 22-250 since the early 90's.....I had a plain jane ADL and it would shoot in the lower .4's upper .3's (3 shot)....was'nt even glass bedded....
Powders used where H4895, H380 and H414
Bullets used most where
Speer 52 gr. HP...best coyote bullet before the plastic tip bullets came out
Nos.BT 50gr.
Rem PLHP 50gr bulk...they shot just as well as the BT's and knocked the snot out of coyotes with out alot of fur damage......
If I where you I would go with the powder you have and Rem. 50 PLHP's.......the deal with the 22-250 is it is fairly easy to make shot with most recommened powders... no sense wasting money on the more expensive bullets when the Rem.50PLHP shoot so good.......:)
