22-250 in a 20'' barrel

Anybody have velocity and/or accuracy info on a 22-250 from a 20'' gun? Specifically I am looking at a Rem Model 7 but the brand shouldn't make much difference.

I'll bet a 22-250 in a 20" tube will still run faster than a 223 out of a 24" tube.....

I believe that you are right but haven't been able to find anything to back it up. Most manuals use a 24" test tube.

The 22-250 is one of those cals. that benefits from a longer barrel, in my opinion you are really handicapping that cartridge. There are very accurate benchguns that use the shorter barrels for added stiffness but they are not using a hot cartridge like the 22-250. i would guess that you would be losing 200+ FPS.
