22-250 load data?

i know i can look in any manual and figure this out then its just trial and error until i get it perfect..... but there are alot of reloaders on this form smarter than I. i have never reloaded for or even fired a 22-250 but i just purchased a stevens 200 chambered in it. so, can anyone give me some beginner info?
powder, primers, porjectiles. idea is coyotes out to 300 without destroying pelts. maybe someone famalier with the rifle can give me an overal length? . also i was thinking about just neck sizing for this rifle, any thoughts on this

just looking for a good jumping off point with the new cartridge any help would be appreciated, thanks!
 
I loaded for 3 .22-250's and 2 of them liked Varget best the other liked IMR4064. I used 55g psp's, 50g Vmax and Hornady's 52g hpbt. They will all make a mess on a coyote if you hit bone I liked the 52's the best. I always full resized my brass. I used Winchester large rilfe primers. All rifles shot sub inch groups at 100 yards, and the Winchester model 70 shot honest 1/4" groups.
 
Try RE-15 or Benchmark for 50-52 gr Blitzkings and Amax. Some rifles like a jump to the lands but mine likes to be right on. Neck sizing should work nicely but ensure you FL size new brass and when chambering becomes difficult after multiple firings.
 
This is what My uncle developed for his 22-250, and what I was loading for him until he sold it about 10 years ago. In his rifle this was a tack driver out to 400 yards.

Primer: Norma #990 Large Rifle Primers
Powder: 31.5 IMR3031
Bullet: 55gr Spitzer

This is a slightly compressed load.
 
Just tuned my 60gr hornady SP with a load ranging 35-36 gr of 4064, win brass, win primers (cci mag will be next). Very sweet cartridge indeed. The 1-12 savage barrel stabilizes these pills very well in my rifle. Max is 63gr for the twist so 50-60 grain pills are your friend. Try the lee collet die for neck sizing, my run out on some recent win bulk pack brass is outstanding.

Get a Nosler loading book and look for the most accurate loads for your desired bullet weights. That is what I did for the 60 grain bullet but I am using the 60 grain Sierra HP. Powders used are IMR 4320, IMR 4064 and IMR4895. It tends to be a great starting point.
 
I've been working up a load for a while now, so far best reults with a 50gn Nosler balistic tip boattail, 31.5 gns of IMR 3031, Federal brass (complete resize) and CCI 200 primers.

I made 10 last night, 5 with 32.5 gns, and 5 with 33.0 gns. I will update as soon as I can get to the range and try them.
