22-250 reloading question and Volocity

Hey All new to the Form and am really liking it here.

So about a year ago now i got into the reloading and worked with a bunch of loads for the 22-250. I myself shoot a CZ550 LUX and my Father shootes a Tikka T3 both in 22-250. These are our coyote rifles so i devised a 40gr V max load to help with pelt damage. It worked perfactly. All coyotes shot the past winter had no exit wounds and pin hole entrance and the coyote was dead before it hit the ground.

What im worried about is the Barrel life of these rifles do to the the fact is i can only get accracy at Super high volocites.. My load is a 40gr Vmax ontop of 40gr of Varget with a Winchester Magnum Primer. I have no idea my volocity but im guessing it should be around the 4300 fps just going from the listed max load in the 8th Edition of the Hornady hand book is 38.4 gr of varget at 4100fps, and every extra grain added accounts for 100fps.

So based on that data what would everyone else do? Change up the load if Barrel life is an issue or just shoot it since were having success.. What are your favorite pet loads?. All is apprechated and i also reload for the .222 and 6.5x55 so if anyone would like to know what i got for load data for those dont hisitate to ask and maybe you could share yours with me.

Ackley suggested that a .22 bore rifle loaded with of 35 grs of powder, provided a good balance of performance and barrel life. You're not so much over that you to need to worry, even with a steady diet of that load. If it works, don't fix it.
 
Thanks all for the advice. I was never overly concerned about it but a friend of mine who has been reloading for some time brought it to my attention since during the winter season im not calling coyotes. We use dogs to chase the coyotes out of the bush. Sometimes we will get 3 or 4 coyotes come out at once so some times u can empty a clip in under a min. We usully average about 10 shots a day. So i guess thats not to bad. WE also get around 7 to 8 coyotes a day. Sometimes more. Some times less. But its usully a really fun time. :D
 
I really don't see you getting 4300 fps, and I agree with those who doubt you will burn a barrel on coyotes. You are fretting about a mythological issue.
 
I could be worring about nothing but better to worry about nothing than not worry about something and be getting a new rifle in 5 years lol... As for the dies.. My 22-250 and .222 Dies are RCBS. I dont know the cost cause i had them givin to me but as for the 6.5x55 its a Lee Percission. I really prefer the Lee over the RCBS but thats just me. The Lee also only cost me i think it was 30 bucks from Titan Relaoding. What I like about the Lee Die kits is they come with different Options. The Pace setter dies come with the Full Length Resizing Die, Seating die with roll crimp, Factory Crimp, as well has shell holder and Powder measure. Not bad for 30 bucks. Then there is the Delux kit which instead of getting the Factory crimp you get the Collet die which just does the neck.. Either or I dont think u would be dissapointed in any of them. Take a look and see.
