RJThe barrel life of a 22-250 is about 1000 rounds, max. I went through 3 barrels before I accepted this.
If your application involves a lot of shooting, the AI does not work.

I don't actually.
22cm is a slightly smaller case, so i assume will have better barrel life.
Ganderite, you must have shot those barrels mighty hot several times to wash the throats in 1000 rounds.
I have washed out several barrels, using "barrel-burning" chamberings [220 Swift, 264 Win Mag, etc] and
never had any done by 1000 rounds. My First Swift made it over 2000 before any noticeable deterioration
in accuracy appeared. This was a <.4 moa rifle, I even won BR Turkey shoots with it. One of my 6mm Rem
barrels went 2500, another made it to 2800. While I always shot full-house loads in them, I never shot more
than 5 consecutive shots without letting them cool down. I'M sure careful cleaning played a part as well. D.

I was shooting 80 gr Sierra bullets. 30" barrel. I could get 3400fps, but did not load that hot. I used moly bullets, too.
Around 1000 rounds bullets would start to blow up about 40 yards in front of me. I could then down load to stop the problem, but then I was getting 223 performance. I was using quality stainless barrels. a blue barrel would be worse.
