22-250 VS 243 for varmint

I can hit my 10" gong from 380yds with my .22-250 with a 15mph cross wind 55gr vmax at about 3650fps. I aim centered on the gong left to right with apporpriate hold over and the bullet hits the egde of the gong. I'm going to say in Ontario wind drift is a non-issue I don't think it gets windy enough here to really worrie about it........

I need A new gun to shoot Coyote on the farm. I have narrowed it down to either 22-250 or 243. What do you guys think will be better ? I am shooting at ranges of >350 yards any input ? Cheers Andrew

I'd go with either a 22-250, or .223... but I'd never again own a .243
If you think the 22 cal won't have enough jam out that far (which it will), you might as well bypass the 243 and go straight to a 25-06.....THEN you'd have something.
