The .308 with 168gr will skin the 22/250 shooting the 55gr bullets with the lightest breeze.get a fast twist for your 22 250 and shoot 80 & 90 gr you will be fine
+1. As specified in OP, the .308 is the better choice. With a fast twist and heavy bullets the 22-250 will eat the .308 for lunch, especially as the range increases.

.22-250 vs .308 Win at 300 yards ?
Could you tell me what caliber is better for target shooting only.
The twist rate of the 22-250 1:12, and the 308 win is 1:10.
Everyone on any gun forum will tell you that they have a 1/4 MOA, out of the box, bone stock Savage, Remington, Stevens etc. That is until they have to put their money where there mouth is and prove it. I figure all these 1/4 MOA rifles would not have a problem shooting a huge 1 MOA group at 300m. But it seems these 1/4 MOA rifles and their pilots are all too busy to come out and play.
The one shooter that did shoot a 1 MOA group, did it with a .22-250 Kimber rifle.
