Hello, are there any IPSC style events or leagues for .22lr pistols? I've had my RPAL for years, but missed the boat on getting a handgun before the freeze (was looking into Walther PPQ - PDP at the time). The only option now is .22 exemptions. So I was wondering if there is anything about. I am in Ontario.

I am a member of the SFC and a participant in a bullseye league, but looking to branch into action pistol events akin to IPSC. I do not own a 9mm+ so I cannot take the black badge course for IPSC proper.

Our shoots are members only (fairly small range). We have different classifications which include the usual, Standard Service Pistol, Service Pistol Optic, Revolver, and .22. If your range is not doing so, maybe they should consider it.

Each is treated as a different class.

We were going to try .22 two gun (pistol and semiautomatic rifle); I even broke my personal rule and bought a semi auto .22, but there was not enough interest. I gave the rifle (savage 64 with a folding stock and red-dot to my nephew. He loves it.

We want everyone to be holster trained and certified, but as long as they have a RPAL and Club Level Safety, they may start low ready if a stage includes use of a holster. These shoots are for fun and skills development. We personally will loan guns to those who have RPALs so they can participate.

We want to grow the sport.
