It finally rained so i decided to head to Saskatoon to pick up some different .22 ammo. I go to saskatoon gun works 1st they have the best selection in saskatoon 6 or 7 different kinds. but nothing like cci new ones guys talk about. So i go to the preston ave walmart not a .22 in the store. so i go to wss sports next and they have 2 types of winchesters is all Brutal. So i go to Saskatoon gunsmith shoppe they have a few different brands but want $5 a box plus tax for yellow jackets. So i won't ever be going there again. I was getting poed by now so i didn't bother to check out north pro sports in sutherland.I should have just went back to gunworks and bought some but must of what they carry i already had.Any information were i can get some good ammo at a good price in Saskatoon, North Battleford, Swift Current or surrounding area thanks

I know Daryl at TNTGunworks normally has a really good selection of .22 ammo. Great Northern Rod and Reel sometimes has a different mix as well.

If you don't want really good stuff I have an extra 5k (10x 500rd bulk pack) of Winchester 36gr HP that I got from the coop for $16.50/box taxes in. Lemme know if you want some and I can bring it to trap tomorrow night.

Now if you want to talk really scarce, try to find some .17 Mach 2 in S'toon. That's an Easter egg hunt that never ends.

wow wholesale sports only had a few.... I bought 1000 cci standards there last fall. They had lots. Must be because its gopher season and all sold out

If your in the area check out your Co-op stores, ecpecially the one at Circle and Ave C. (the gas bar, not the garden centre place) They usually carry 22's and will generally have the Federal Bulk pack and the Win cheap white box stuff (wildcat or something like that). Wholesale has been out of everything lately (most notable, powder, primers, and 22`s) and always give the same excuse of don`t know when they will get it in if ever....Brutal. Walmarts are very hit and miss. When they get a shipment in it is good for a day, then gone...Good luck, I`ve been on the look for 22 ammo as well...Matt

I just moved to toon and am regretting not buying a case of federal bulk packs. I was paying 16 bucks a brick plus tax back in BC. Now the cheapest brick I found was 21 bucks at sask gun works for AE lead round nose, they were 17 a brick back home.

Now I know to load up when I get back to my favorite shop back home.

22lr and reloading componants in general will be hard to get for a while yet untill the manufacturers can catch up with the demand .The Us bought up anything that wasn't nailed down this spring because of Obamas threats to impose a tax as well as other crap caused a buying panic I bought 2 cases early on to keep me going.

How long has it been since you were last home? Ammo pricing has gone way up all over Canada in the last year. FS
