.22 Ammo Stash

I wouldn't lie to someone with a 28 feed back score ;)

I don't know if that's a good price or not. Perkins has .22 bricks of 500 (Blazer, Remington) for $29 so I went for that.

LOL, I wasn't accusing you of lying. Just hoping you were mistaken that maybe the price was for a box of 100. Geez I reload my 9mm for a lot less than .20/round.

mudgunner49 Actually it's in large part people like you who are causing the problem - when the stock appears to be threatened they panic and buy whatever they can find, doesn't matter if it's ammo, food, any consumable really. The folks sitting on a good supply simply wait out the tough times...

WHAT!!.... ok let me get this straight, all i have is around a thousand rounds and it's peoples like me that causes the ammo shortage? Which planet are you living on? There was or still is a "ammo shortage" and what did i get, 2 boxes... Cause i shoot them, not cause i sit on them and even if i did sat on my two boxes, i doubt that peoples like me are the cause of anything except the dust on those ammo boxes left on the shelves cause we didn't buy them. I'm sorry but i don't "panic" when i don't see .22 ammo on the shelves i just shake my head and smile thinking of hoarders and shoot something else that's all . Btw your comment doesn't even make any sense just saying

i bought 2 boxes, horders buy that way so they can "wait out the tough times" pffft! forget it lol

you ever see store shelves stripped after a natural disaster, people lined up to buy gas, that sort of thing?? those are people who keep "just enough" around. just because you can't grasp the concept doesn't make it less valid. there are many for whom 2 bricks is a day at the range - I happen to be one of those folks...

I want to see your .22 "cashe" I know there's guys out there with those bulk Mini Mag cases of CCI. YOU BASTURDS. Yes, I'm jealous.
CCI .22LR is non existent in the Toronto area.

Toronto area???

A week ago I was at the Sail in Oshawa, they had many, many varities of cci, winchester, federal, elay, remmington .22 rounds in stock, all for cheaper prices i'v found here in Ottawa area

maybe you need to take a drive out there.... they were selling winchester 100 round packs in the plastic cases for 7.99 a box

bulk packs...

idk what your talking about but, i belive oshawa is near toronto, yeah?

I have so much .22 hoarded the department of natural ressources Canada would want to investigat me..

na i'm just kidding. I bought a brick of 500 last year and still haven't gone through it all. I need to hit the range more often!

Funny how some peoples think they're so much better and "comprehend" so much more than others :jerkit: Your initial comment still don't make any sense on the ammo shortage of todays. If there was a SHTF scenario you (with your extra stash of everything to wait it out) would be the first to push your way in stores to empty the shelves cause even when there's nothing to fear that's what you do

Movin on ... fed the troll enough

" butt hurt" LOL that's funny. It's ok you're not the first troll i got into a useless discussion with, i've grown "bullet proof" nothing hurts.

Edit: and btw Actually it's in large part people like you who are causing the problem is not a casual comment it's an accusation.

Whenever I'm at CT, walmart or a hunting store, I always swing by the ammo section to see if anything is available and I'll pick some. Not really building a stash, but I like to have enough ammo for all the rifles I own.

So, I've been sorting out my ammo lately, trying to get it all organized. Have quite a few .50 cal & .30 cal ammo cans for storage, amongst several large ammo containers. Have a label maker, and finally got around to labeling everything. Opened one of my plano boxes and figured having it full of .22 ammo wasn't a good idea, as tge sides were bulging out from the weight of the ammo, so I decided to put it all in a new .30 cal ammo can I got today. The label I had on it said "Federal .22 copper HP", so I was grabbing handfuls to transfer it all. Got to the bottom and ruh roh, there's a label for Winchester Super X .22, and guess what, its all .22 copper HP as well...
So for the past 1.5 hours, I've had the pleasure of sorting it all out. I thought at first, there might be only a brick or 2 worth of the Winchester, nope! Mixed pretty evenly about 60/40. I will not be making that mistake again anytime soon. For most of my .22 ammo, I find it better just to dump all the boxes into a larger container to save space, anyone have an idea how many .22 fit in a .30 cal ammo can? I'll have to weigh 100 rounds or so of it and make an estimate to see, be interested to know.
