.22 Ammo Stash

Still can't find Stingers.
Me neither.
Down to my last 500 rounds.
Got lucky last week when a friend of a friend was looking to sell 9 boxes (Just under 5,000 rounds) of Winchester 555. Got them for about $15 a box.

My thoughts exactly. There's a reason for this 22 'shortage', and these pictures show it. Everywhere local is picked over minus some low end winchester stuff. I've been looking for CCI standard and Minimags, as well as bulk blazer for over a year... Well... There it is...

? I find my local Canadian tire ALWAYS has several thousand rounds of .22lr. None of it what I am looking for (anything standard velocity, round nose) but if you want HV or HV HPs, they seem to be back on the shelf in most locations I look.
Of course if you want spendy, Sail has lots of CCI green tag, and Epps has lots of match ammo.

I got my last case from Hirsch precision. If you still want to buy 50 rds at a time - good luck. For those willing to take the plunge ammo can be found. I am under 2 cases now of mini-mags but will do till next spring gophers.

And that is my problem? I have around 5000 rounds of cci alone never mind the other brands. I stocked up little by little when it was on the shelf a long time ago. I suggest you do the same. I have never seen buying 50 rounds at a time or a brick at a time smart purchasing. It only goes up in price. The lesson you learnt here is when there is lots buy a few bricks at a time whenever you can and put some in a pile for a rainy day don't just by a brick and shoot it then go looking for another.
Clearly you jumped the gun in your response and didn't actually read what I wrote; I could not find things locally. Local stores in my area are constantly sold out of everything other than Federal birdshot and crappy Winchester Wildcats. It's easy to browse sponsors and find Remingtons and Winchester packs, but as I said, I'm looking for CCI products which are few and far between - even online. Ammo Supply was the only one you found (albeit quick search) with CCI, which is grossly overpriced compared to when I can get that stuff for $45/500 locally. Why would I spend double that after shipping? I'm not looking at dumping $700 on a case, 2 or 3 bricks is all I'm after at a time. Fully understanding that buying in huge quantities obviously will save you a few bucks in the end, of course.
The problem I have is with the people who buy up a stores entire supply in a single visit. I hear it all too frequently from employees when I ask if they have any, or will have any soon. It's always the same 'it was gone within a day of it coming in', I wish I had the time to go to the gun stores everyday but I can't.

So put a depose on a case and when they get it its yours. Simple solution to your own unpreparedness. Going on the net and blaming everyone for your own problems doesn't fix anything.

I saw these problems comming 2 years ago and started buying a brick or 2 every time i went to CT or other...there were still racks full of CCI then...i should have focused more on CCI knowing that they sell at just stupid prices now.
But heck, if i had no stash at all i would still get what i could at any price (exept the prices at SAIL, 20$ for 100 mini mags, yeah f-u) and shoot away...too much fun to pass up.

WOW serious price gouging going on here,,,even from site sponsors,,,let a lot of people,i started buying up 22LR anytime i could find it cheap,,2 years ago,,when my US friends told me it was comming here next,,so 40,000 rounds ahead,,this price gouging doesnt affect me too much,,and 22 are a lot of fun to shoot so it goes fast..
