.22 ammo!!

In Quebec City, you can get 100 Winchester superX or Remington CBee (sub) for 5.99$ at Sail. That's all they had, but the were getting some in the next week. 333 winchester pack for 17.99$, 550 for 28 like bucks (don't remember if it's Federal or Winchester) at Latulippe. I think i saw some CCI a few time ago for 7.99 for 100pcs. I will definitly check for CCI when I get my 10/22 shipped at home. I think the price are pretty fair here. About 5-8 cents per round.

Walmart in Gatineau Qc had two box of Win 333 for 15$, my Big Bro bougth them both. One for him and one for me . Thats what family is for.

I bought 2,100 Federal (4 x 525) in a .50 BMG Ammo can at Cabelas in Barrie this summer. It was $129.95 which is 6 cents per round plus $3.95 for the can - not a bad deal in today's market. My son bought one also.

The first time I saw the ammo cans of 2100 rds was about 1.5 - 2 years ago and they were $79.99 at Cabelas......so I bought one.

Then they went up to $89.99.......bought another.

Then $99.99.......I didn't need anymore at the time so I didn't buy one, probably should have I guess.

The last time I saw one of these full cases was at Cabelas in Regina this spring, it was $119.99.

The last time I saw these cases at all was at Cabelas in South Edmonton when they had a pallet stacked about 3 feet high with the empty cans.....still had the Federal label stating that that it was 2100 rds, but all they did was take the 525 packs out and put them on the shelf and them put a limit of 2 per customer........and I didn't even see any on the shelf that day.

Went in this morning and bought 2 boxes at 31.49 each plus tax. Shoots good in my guns. Will give me a few more outings. Thanks for the tip. No ideal when/if the stores will follow the web. Was 7.1 cents/round out the door, which is OK these days.

Ran in this AM and grabbed some just as they were about to up the price.
Thanks,
Dan

I was at the Belleville CT yesterday. Damn, you guys are lucky! What a huge hunting section with a ton of rifles, reloading components etc. Lots of 22LR ammo. Bought a 1000rnd box of Winchester M22 and a box of 555. I don't shoot a whole lot to 22LR so that ought to last me a while combined with about 1500rnd of Mini-mags and Stingers in my stash. :)

LeBaron here in Ottawa always has the lowest prices on ammo. They never raise their prices based on demand. You can love them or hate them but props to them for giving such good prices. Currently have winchester 222 packs for under $11.

My CT (Stratford ON) just got some new 22 bulk in stock; federal/American Eagle 400rd $30.00 and Remington Bucket of Bullets 1400 @ $80.00
The bucket reads "new and improved" Don't know what that means...

the older one didn't say that on the bucket...and they were siht...maybe they got better

I don't shoot LR, I'm more of a WMR guy. But...the Walmart in Spruce Grove, AB has about a dozen 250 round boxes of Winchester 333. Sorry, I did not notice the price. But it looks like they have lots. fyi

Lots of Winchester 22lr have showed up in Canada recently (the last few month) I suspect because people down in the states don't buy them as much as other brands and they are coming north of the border.

I've been seeing lots of Winchester M22. 1000 round boxes. Never tried them, so I don't really want to drop $60 on ammo that won't work.

WSS in Calgary just got a few cases of Remington .22LR Target , 40 grain LRN in stock for $50 a brick. I've never tried it before so I bought a brick . There was also a few Winchester offerings in 50 round packs for under $5.

i was going to order some from wolverine but when you calculate the shipping costs for the amount i wanted, it becomes too expensive ie 13c a round...basically you cant avoid hoarding online if you want to make it worth it, kind of like powder.

i dont mind m22s...they are a good round, i recommend them. They sure beat the bucket of craps...
