.22 Ammunition Ballistics chart

FPS? Nope....energy does. You keep moving the goal posts. Facts: The Aguila has more energy than 98% of any .22 on the list, and shoots flatter (higher FPS) than anything there.

you took my post and sh*t on it, I'm just trying to inject some reality over the opinion.

Lol, and I dont even shoot .22 LR....the only rimfire I really shoot is a .17 HMR, but I prefer the 22/243 middlestead when I need to make small creatures all pink-misty ;)

Wasn't trying to knock you or your ammunition choice. I did not say that it was a bad choice. I do not believe that pure foot pounds kill anything. If that were the case .243 would be on equal footing with a 45-70. But it is not.

And none of my posts referenced the speed of the round. Only down range energy. And looking at it that way, the Eley carries 12 more foot pounds even though it is going 91 fps slower. No doubt the hyper velocity round is dropping less. Just not something that I look for exclusively when I buy ammo.

Hopefully that is a little more clear.

I'd love to get some of that. 98% of my gopher shots are 5 feet or less to 100 yards. The hmr does a dandy job as well but I'm sure a zippy 22lr would still be cheaper.

Muzzle 50Y 100 yards
Super Max, .22 LR 30 gr 1750 / 204 N/A 1191 / 95

Thats still moving pretty good at 100

1191 fps is already in the transonic range. Which means you might not hit what you're aiming at.
Look at Eley. Most of them are subsonic in order to maintain accuracy.

Why not just use JBM? It has a ton of .22LR bullets in the library. I use it to make my .22LR trajectory charts out to 300 yards/meter. Very accurate if you give it an accurate muzzle velocity.
