In a previous thread asking what cartridge you want Hornady to develop, I don’t think there was one request for a 22 cal cartridge based on a grendel case.
The 22 ARC will flop, no different than the 6 ARC did.
Barrel life calculators…
The 55 vmax isn’t a boat tail bullet.
You’re leaning on the twist of the barrel being able to shoot high bc bullets. The comparison has little to do with the cartridge.
Even still, up to 500 yards there is no difference between your selections.
I love the answers when people don't like numbers.
22 ARC won't bounce off a badger
This is what happens when you run ballistic spreadsheets based on theoretical dream hunting situations, add a dose of marketing, touch of thermal and pretend steel targets can grow fur. Entertaining. Mildly.
Carry on tod.
No, it's actually just math that affects real world results.
Is this the hunting sub-forum?
BC matters very little when I’m killing game. But let that not stop the dreaming and pretending about killing coyotes with your ARC at 600yards.
I can see your thread now "The Axis 22 ARC"
LOL
Who says no one does? Or likes to shoot that far with their hunting rifle?
We need to be limited to what you do?
