Someone correct me if I am wrong but Sabot shotgun rounds are made for rifled barrels , if you aren't using a rifled barrel you use rifled slugs

Yes, I'm sure they're useful for their intended purpose of short range pest control. They also won't ricochet or be very dangerous/damaging if you miss.

Just be careful. They will ricochet, but your right- not very damaging.
I shot a round at an old wood door in my yard, and right as I heard the

Couldnt you use a .22 insert in a 410 instead of a smoothbore .22? Probably easier to find one of those.
