Hi,

So, I've decided I want to build up a 10/22, but I am hazy as to what to do for optics. Bushnell 3200's were recomended in one of the stickies, but there appears to be numerous types of the 3200, which one is the one to go for? How would one go about getting it mounted on a ruger 10/22, where would one get the hard ware?

While I have you cornered, anyone know where one can obtain GM or Clark barrels?

Any assitance would be muchly appriciated.

Thank you in advance,

BH

which 3200? depends on how far you want to shoot and if it's just of the bench. I've always used a 3-9x40mm scope and always found it plent scope for 100yard shots. but for another 2oz and another $110 you can get the 4-12x40 and would meet any need you had.

mounting hardware. from the EE or your local gun store.
Gm barrels from "bits-of-pieces" in BC

4x-12x is preferred.

For mods, look at changing the hammer / trigger. Other than that i didn't notice that much benefit in changing anything else. In fact, a nice polish job is good enough for most rifles.

As for barrel, TS, WP are all good. If you can find a ER Shaw barrel.

For a good rimfire scope, take a look at the Mueller APV .. great optics, not a ton of money. Has AO and focuses down to 10 ft. IIRC. :)

Worked great with any jacket ammo. Best with CCI (any), Eley, and Winchester target. I find the mag more important than ammo. Make sure to clean the chamber and extractor after every session.
Musky Hunter, did you find your ER Shaw barrel picky for ammo or not so bad?
