Sooooo I have read in a few threads already that guys are considering / talking about using .22 cal ammunition on big game.

I have only hunted and only know the regs for AB, but is it not illegal to hunt big game in the rest of the provinces with anything smaller than a .243??

Just bringing up this point simply because it seems like there is a good amount of confusion around this.

Or maybe its just me.

Manitoba allows 22 cal centre fire for deer hunting. It's up to each hunter to understand the rules of their province, along with the capability of the cartridge, the particular bullet used and their hunting and shooting skills. Lots of points to consider.

I think it is just you, LoL.
Each province has its own set of rules in the smallest caliber allowed.
Hence my jab at the "just me "comment.
It should be pointed out though just cause it is read on the internet it isn't gospel either.
Another point is the internet does make it easier to find the correct information should one wish to travel and hunt this great country we call Canada!
Tight Groups,

BC is ANY centerfire except Bison needs - ammunition to hunt bison must be constructed with
a 175 grain or larger bullet, which retains 2,712 joules
(2,000 ft lbs) or more energy at 100 m.

Its weird you can't use the 4570 for bison. Have they got tougher in the last 100 years lol. Ontario has some pretty stupid laws to
