.22 Centerfire - Opinions Please

Planning on acquiring a bolt action (in .222 or .223) with iron sights.

Choices narrowed down to a 700BDL or CZ527 Lux (Tikka, although prefered but not an option since those come without sights, I think).

Appreciate if you would share your impressions/experience on which one to go for.

You'd have way more ammo choices with the .223 if you don't handload. That said, I have a Sako .222 and it's my favourite rifle. Extremely accurate and good out to about 250 yards, my .222 is a sentimental first choice varminter for me.

Forget the iron sights!

Iron sights are for slug guns and DGRs. 22 centerfires are neither.

Put a good scope on and use it the way it should be.
