.22 conversion Handguns

Im looking for a handgun that i can convert to .22. so far I've found kits p226, glock and 1911. What are my other options?

Gsg 1911 and s&w mp22 are great stand alone cheap. 22lr that feel like full size pistols. . 22lr specific pistols seem more reliable. Sig. P226 22lr is nice too but doesn't hold open last round.

There's also a Beretta 92 22lr conversion kit but finding one is like finding a unicorn and if you do happen to stumble onto one, the price is about the same as the gun it goes on.

Yeah, $700-800 for a conversion kit is just plain nuts. Would be cool if I could afford to get one.

I don't mind paying alot for the conversion kit I just want a gun that i can shoot in 9mm and .22. i want to get used to the same trigger and controls.

m&p9 and the m&p22 are the same frame just different calibers. trigger might be a little different but all the controls and size are the same. I have both and might buy the 40 version too.

I prefer the separate pistols too...I do have a Glock .40-9mm exchange kit..but have yet to use it...

Yeah one day at the range they look so much the same I tried to fit my 9mm mag into the M&P 22. It took me a sec to figure out why it wouldn't go in LOL. Really like both and the .22 is a great shooter.

Im leaning towards my mp 40 and the mp 22 then i plan on getting the 9mm conversion barrel

I have a conversion kit that works very good, but I recommend separate gun as well.
