Anyone have any insight on the kits? The GSG or perhaps the Kimber? Others?

I'm looking for one that'll work on the Norinco NP-29 5" 1911 in 9mm.

Thanks

SIG make's a beauty 22 lr conversion for both 1911 & P226.
Seeing as its a Norinco your looking to pair, I would recommend the GSG. Solid quality at an affordable price.

Both should work on most 1911 single stack clones including the Norinco & the Kimber.
I have a GSG and it works fine. Cannot comment on the Kimber.
I know that the GSG slide stays open after the last shot. Not all conversions do.

I have a Colt conversion unit on a NP29 (steel slide, floating chamber). Works really well; accurate.

I briefly looked at a conversion kit for my 1911, but with the GSG/ SIG 1911-22's going in the $400 range I didn't really see any value in it. A dedicated gun might be something to consider.
